I believe that there are many different levels of love at different intensities. It is wrong to expect that everyone views and expresses the use of the word the same as you do. It is also wrong to assume they are lying to you, and it does not mean it is not real for them. One that raised without the love they should have had, may love at a deeper level sooner and have a larger expectaion of the way love "should" be. I grew up in an environment full of constant love and affection from parents and multiple sibilings. Not that I take love for granted, I am just naturally a loving person in all of my being and have not experienced what it was like to not have it in some form. I love my mother in a different way than I love my brothers. I love my brothers in a different way than I do my sons. I love my best friend in a way different than my significant other. I believe in love at first sight, I experienced that one time in my life, and that was with you. This is why I do not want to give up. Love for another grows stronger and deeper the more you spend time with them and share your life with them. In the short time we were together, we were only building off our initial love for one another. It was just the beginning. I did come to feel that our relationship came to a standstill and I was not quite sure if you were interested in allowing it to grow deeper. I know you believe your actions proved differently and maybe I just misunderstood the reasoning of some of your actions. I often questioned, and I told you this before, does he want to be with me, or does he not want to be with me? There are reasons I was feeling that way and those reasons were based off our conversations combined with some of your actions. So, before you accuse my words of being meaningless and do not believe them, you need to step back and think of how loving and patient I really was with you during our relationship. Please remember that, yes, I made a poor choice and I do not want to minimize that, but love is also forgiveness and willingness to work on a relationship. You gave up on me and are forcing yourself to believe I am someone I am not to protect yourself. I am not perfect, neither are you and you cannot expect anyone to think and respond exactly how you do. We have experienced love differently throughout our years, and though we may not express it exactly the same, it is still love and you have no right to judge that. My love has the ability to grow so much more deeply with you . Of course that would happen in time. Time was cut short, and I want it back.
