Im single....have raised my kids by myself for 18 years. I never had a problem doing it alone because I believed that my kids needed a parent that cared so much that he would never give up on them. My childrens mother gave up on them 18 years ago and I steped up to the challenge. It was not easy......It still is not easy. Im sending my son into college now and the hard part (Besides tuition) is letting go and facing an empty house soon. I faced so many times over the years the ugly fact that so many women out there even though they will not admit it, are not so willing to get into a relationship with a man that is raising his kids. I put myself through college in my mid 30's at one of the toughest Chef schools in the world.......Living in New York and going to school was the hardest thing I have ever had to do in my life because my kids stayed with my parents in KY while I was gone. Now they are older and you look back and wonder if all the choices as a single parent were the right ones??
